Where it all started

Founded in 1996 by Mark Groves, First IT Solutions began as Houston Networks, known to many of our longtime clients and partners as HouNet. From the beginning, the company was built around a vision that remains unchanged today: businesses deserve a technology partner they can trust.

At a time when many technology providers focused on fixing problems instead of truly understanding the people and businesses behind them, Mark recognized an opportunity to create a different kind of IT company—one where integrity, accountability, exceptional service, and genuine relationships came first.

As technology changed and the needs of our clients grew, Houston Networks evolved into First IT Solutions, reflecting a broader approach to technology and the expanding services we provide. While our name has changed, the principles the company was founded on have remained at the heart of who we are.
